Repair Guide aims to be usable by everyone, including people who use assistive technologies. We work toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA.
What we do
- A "Skip to content" link at the top of every page for keyboard and screen-reader users.
- Descriptive text alternatives for meaningful images.
- Clear heading structure, plain-English writing, and numbered steps in every guide.
- Keyboard access to navigation, search, and the panel.
- Text that can be enlarged with browser zoom without breaking the layout.
- Safety warnings placed next to the steps they apply to, not only in colour.
Known limitations
We have not yet completed a full independent accessibility audit. Some older images or embedded material may not fully meet our goal, and we fix issues as we find them.
Feedback
If you have trouble using any part of Repair Guide, please tell us through the contact form (/contact). Include the page address and a short description of the problem. We aim to reply within 5 business days and, where we can, to provide the information you need in another format.
